Comand AI: accelerating battlefield decision-making with AI
In an era of high-intensity conflict and wars of attrition, decision speed has become a key determinant of tactical superiority. Comand AI is offering a new standard with its flagship platform, Prevail.

For decades, military planning and the conduct of operations have relied on fragmented information chains, often slowed by manual data entry. Decision-making can become cumbersome and vulnerable when a matter of minutes can mean the difference between mission success and failure.
Comand AI developed Prevail to address this critical challenge. Designed to accelerate decision-making from the strategic to the tactical level by equipping headquarters and soldiers with AI technologies, the platform is emerging as a key component of next-generation command-and-control (C2) systems tailored to the demands of multi-domain operations (MDOs).
A force multiplier for military planners
Prevail is not intended to replace human commanders, but to greatly enhance their responsiveness and the quality of their judgements. Using onboard algorithmic computing capabilities, Prevail ingests large volumes of complex data in real time and automatically generates several options in the form of structured tactical courses of action. Operational planning time is reduced by a factor of ten, according to Comand AI.
In the field, Prevail provides a dynamic picture of the tactical situation and enables coordination between human and robotic units. The aim is to accelerate the decision cycle from observation to action — the OODA loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act). The software includes tools for land and amphibious planning, coordination of electronic-warfare activities, and analysis of drone data streams, including when GPS is unavailable, to accelerate targeting.
After-action reviews
AI continues to provide support through to the end of each mission. “The platform provides after-action reviews by analysing the full history of execution data, rapidly extracting tactical lessons learned and refining the preparation of future engagements.”
Comand AI is extending its solutions across all operational domains, particularly the naval domain for amphibious operations, to give command posts a common operational picture covering naval, air and land activity. “We intend to test these tools under operational conditions during upcoming exercises and manoeuvres, with the aim of validating their scalability across the joint force,” the company explains.
Backed by a €32 million Series A funding round, following an €8.5 million fund-raise in late 2024, Comand AI is accelerating its international expansion. With Prevail, the company is doing more than digitising command: it is redefining the speed at which modern armed forces can act.
